The Gallery Houston is a historical building built in 1958 and located in the upscale Galleria area of Houston, Texas. This venue has been the setting for many romantic and memorable weddings and is often selected as one of the top wedding venues in Houston not only for its expansive outdoor spaces but also its more intimate and cozy interiors which offer the most picturesque scenes for wedding and reception parties. This along with the outstanding staff and the extensive list of available amenities, leaves little to be desired for your special day!
From the moment you enter The Gallery, you’ll be transported to a place that is reminiscent of the French Mediterranean: distinctive architecture, quaint gardens with creeping ivy and bouquets of jasmine, and the elegantly decorated interior rooms that are both intimate and welcoming.
Throughout the site, you’ll see exquisite details which add to the overall charm of The Gallery: Spanish style red roof tiles, old-fashioned light posts, large antiqued gold framed mirrors, mahogany Chiavari salon chairs, Tiffany lamps, and recessed ceiling lights.
The entire property consists of a very large two-story mansion that has a large open patio downstairs and a big second level balcony, both of which can accommodate guests. All in all, there are six event spaces available when you book The Gallery for your wedding ceremony and reception location.
The Gallery Houston’s Venue Spaces
The Bridal Suite & Grooms Lounge
If you plan on having the wedding ceremony at The Gallery, the wedding couple is able to make use of the plush Bridal Suite and the lavish Grooms Lounge. These separate facilities are spacious and equipped with everything you and your bridesmaids and groomsmen need to dress and get ready for the ceremony.
Be sure to make arrangements for your Bridal and Groom Portrait sessions. The lighting and romance of the setting are the perfect backdrop to capture some stunning photos! We recommend the giant ivy covered wall, the jasmine gardens and the First-Look Courtyard, a private and intimate courtyard for your First-Look or First-Touch images.
The Ceremony
The huge courtyard makes for a gorgeous garden wedding ceremony! On the second level you’ll find a roomy overflow room plus a large terrace balcony overlooking the courtyard which can be used for extra seating.
The layout is ideal for guest seating and then after the ceremony, you’ll find ample space for dancing, dining, and mingling as well.
The Reception
Following the wedding, your reception at The Gallery will give you and your guests the chance to celebrate, unwind, and enjoy the impeccably well maintained grounds and the elegant yet comfortable ambience.
Grab a cocktail at the striking, hand carved mahogany bar, dance under the romantic string lighting throughout the courtyard, delight in the beautiful gardens, and take advantage of the opportunity to capture some truly amazing post-wedding and reception photos which you and your guests will cherish for a lifetime!
The Gallery Houston Cost
Depending on the package you choose, pricing for hosting your wedding and/ or reception at The Gallery ranges from around $3,600 to $7,900. Of course, this can vary depending on the number of extra amenities you select and whether you add additional hours to the package you choose.
There are all-inclusive packages available, however, if you wish to provide your own catering service, decorator or cake cutting service, you are free to do so. There is even a special catering kitchen available for your caterer to use and the Gallery offers its own bar services as well.
You won’t have to worry about set-up or tear down for the ceremony and reception either–this is handled by The Gallery and included in the cost of your venue rental.
The staff is always ready to assist in whatever way they can and are highly regarded for their caring and outstanding commitment to help make the most of your dream wedding and reception. The venue Manager will be on hand throughout your special day to oversee the operations and for added peace of mind, there are even two security officers to respond to any emergency situation.
